Change for Animals

We want to help change the world for the animals that we cohabitate with on the planet!  There are approximately 20 quintillion (20 Billion Billion) animals on Earth, and us humans only make up 7.9 billion of them (or 1 in every 2.5 billion animals). Since the 1960s humans have wiped out an estimated 60% of the population of non-human mammals, fish and birds.

The changes to our natural landscape along with unsustainable farming, fishing, manufacturing and food production has led to the decline of animal populations, as well as the extinction of many species, with many scientists fearing that one in 5 species will be extinct before the end of this century. The effect on our ecosystem caused by human intervention could be catastrophic, with some suggestions that the oceans will be completely depleted of fish by 2050.

Many animals are also exploited for human benefit, in ways that are not humane. Animals are misused and abused in the name of food and entertainment. We believe that it doesn’t have to be like this.

Many of the issues animals face today are caused by corporate greed, with companies chasing profit without a thought for the devastation they have left behind. Many people are unaware of the harsh realities that animals are subjected to everyday, from live export, to animal testing for most everyday products.

By bringing awareness to these issues, we believe that we can help to make changes to animals who are suffering, in Australia and worldwide.
